Why do AI-generated websites still look generic? I believe bottleneck isn’t model capability. Given a reference and a proper harness, models can reproduce sites well. The real problem is what happens in-between: “I want X website” → [ ????? ] → code + assets You need a “grill me” process: interrogate taste, intent and constraints; use ASCII for layout and flow, image-gen for mockups, and moodboards to extract the visual language.
